Why We Started Opportunity GrantED

When we founded Opportunity GrantED in 2019, we did so because we believed a child's education should never be limited by the resources available in their classroom. We both noticed that teachers in underserved schools routinely spent their own money on classroom supplies and learning materials after school funding ran out.

We knew there had to be a better way.

That's why we created Opportunity GrantED: to invest directly in teachers who know their students' needs better than anyone else. By funding classroom resources and educational opportunities, we help remove financial barriers so teachers can focus on what they do best: inspiring, educating, and empowering their students.

What began as a shared vision between two friends has grown into a community of donors, volunteers, educators, and supporters united by the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach their full potential.
